Wattle tree standing so proud

the wind is tossing you about

with your yellow flowers so bright.

You stand still with your roots

so firm hidden under ground.

So wattle tree wave your branches to and fro

-and proudly you may stand!

Information about Wattle trees:

The Golden Wattle is Australia’s official floral emblem. Australia is the land of the wattle. More than 1,070 wattle species belonging to the genus Acacia. Acacia pycnantha, most commonly known as the golden wattle. It grows to a height of 8 m (26 ft) and has phyllodes (flattened leaf stalks) instead of true leaves. वॉटल का पेड़ बहोत ही अच्छे से खड़ा रहता है,
हवा से पेड़ के पत्ते बहोत ही तेज़ लहराते है, फिर भी अडिग खड़ा रहता है;
पेड़ के खिले हुए पीले फूल भी बहोत ही तेज़ लहराते हैं। फिर भी पेड़ अपनी जड़ों के साथ खड़े रहते हैं
क्योंकि पेड़ की मज़बूत जड़े ज़मीन के अंदर छिपी हुई होती है।
इसीलिए वॉटल के पेड़ अपनी शाखाओं के हिलने पर भी अंदर से नहीं टूटते हैं
-और अडिग खड़े रह सकते हैं!

इस कविता से हम सब को यही प्रेरणा लेनी चाहिए कि हमारे मन की शांति को भंग करने के लिए, जितनी भी कठिन परिस्थितियों की हवा चले, हमें डगमगाना नहीं है। मन को काबू में ही रखना है। कुंठा और गुस्से की हवा में बह जाना नहीं है, विचलित नहीं होना है। हमें मानसिक और भावनात्मक रुप से मज़बूत बनना है तो हम पर बहार की कोई परिस्थिति का असर ही नहीं होगा। हमें पेड़ों से यही सीख लेनी चाहिए।
